one more chance, 2011

These songs helped me get through this unbelievable year. I hope it helps you meet 2012 with higher hopes and less regret.

Elora (Tonight We Sleep)

This year taught me not to be held back by the endings, because there were so many beginnings. There were more firsts than there were lasts.

We can rest in your downfall. We will all recover.

You were right - things will get better for you and me.

May 1 (Archipelago)

There were many times in 2011 when nothing made sense. This saved me each time, without exaggeration. Thank you, Steve Jobs, for making music accessible at any moment. Thank you, Archipelago, for this song.

'Wag kang mag-alala. Bayaan mo sila. 'Pagkat sa bawat oras mo may himala.

Ang buhay ay nararamdaman.

I wouldn’t be completely honest if this short list didn’t include a song by Katy Perry. It’s easy enough to post Firework, but you already know that. Here’s something that always put me in a good mood (and the song I played while I was in labor, on loop).

So, until we meet again ;)

of zodiac year 88-89 in 2011

There’s a kind of hush that blows calmly over all your frenetic dealings. Whilst you usually enjoy running around with excitement, you can now find some peaceful contentment. In the face of apparent delays, take it easy. The universe is saying to you there’s no need to rush. Events will unfold when the time is right.
